[DERP] Angel "Syko" Martinez

Clipped from: file:///C:/Users/Droo/AppData/Local/Temp/syko.htm

Name: Angel "Syko" Martinez

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 224.4 lbs/102 kilos.

Hometown: Ponce, Puerto Rico, now residing in New Jersey

Theme: "We Gonna Win" - Miri Ben-Ari f. Styles P

Fighting Style: Puroresu (High Flying, stiff striking, technically savvy). Of course, he won’t be, because he’s managing.

Alignment: Himself and the BSX and to hell with anyone else..

Appearance: Syko is 6 foot 2, and 102 kilos. He doesn't have the most rippled and toned body, but it's quite obvious he's in good shape. A very understated physique for someone that does what he does. There are scars scattered in different places on his body, the product of hardcore matches. His hair is black and of medium length, and varies in style. One thing that never changes however is his trademark red streak running through it and his black goatee. In the ring he wears black Painter's coveralls with flames airbrushed up to mid-torso. And light wrestling boots, almost like a high-top sneaker, colored red. Syko also wears a thick gold chain, with diamonds. Outside of the ring, and when managing, Angel fancies himself a fine suit, but the wrestling shoes stay on ‘because you never know’.

Biography: Puerto Rican spirit, New York attitude, and a mouth his momma probably washed out with soap a few times. Angel is a 13 year veteran. He started out at 16, in feds in Puerto Rico after watching wrestling on TV down there as a youth. After a while, he went to Mexico, where it was more popular. After going around Mexican independents, he had an offer from a fed in Japan, which he worked out of for about 2 years before heading to the States taking the lessons learned there from some of the Japanese greats, and wrestling in companies like the UWC, SEWF, EWWF, Empire, and WILD. He's won titles and stuff. He's quite popular with some of the smarter fans too. As part of his deal to sign with Shootfire Pro Wrestling, Syko has been granted sponsorship of the Syko Summer Series Tour. Following the success of the Syko Summer Series, Angel was been offered the position as the new Executive Director of the RAW Sports Network. He held that position until mid-2008, when economic constraints and questionable network content (which included the return of RRRRRRRRRRRROLLERDERBY to television) cost him the position. After returning to the ring for a short period, he was given a spot as SPW Commissioner, until he was mysteriously taken out by a former member of the SPW roster. He has recently made his return to active competition under a mask and the assumed identity of the IGA 'invader' called Red Dragon, until revealing his identity at 'Iconoclasm 2009' as a replacement member of the IGA team, eventually turning on them to help SPW win the match. After another run in the company,he put his wrestling career on hiatus at Wrestlebowl 2010 to manage his protégé, “Lucky Star” Andi Takata and take on a position in Talent Relations. Shortly after however, finding himself out outs with management, Angel and his team were given their release and now Angel manages the Burning Star Express full-time in ACE in Atlantic City and sometimes in JAW in Japan.

Entrance:

[A chorus of violins playing rapidly! Starting off high and fast and slowing, the notes getting lower as it builds to one.. last... moment...]

"Let's go."

[The fans in the seats get up on their feet as they hear the heavy piano opening to Miri Ben-Ari's 'We Gonna Win', the reaction heavy for this living legend....Styles P speaking through the introduction of the song]

"Ben-Ari.. Ghost...

Welcome to Our world...

Feel this....

Violin.

Feel our pain...

We work hard.

It's a struggle....

Let's go."

[Cue Pyro! Flashing light bursts into view blinding the audience! Showers of golden sparks rise up into the air, covering the entrance in grand fashion.]

Worked too hard, paid our dues.

We gon' win, they gon' lose.

Way too nice, can't fill our shoes.

We gon' win, they gon' lose.

Oh so hot, but stay so cool.

We gon' win, they gon' lose.

the violin's crazy, the words is too.

We gon' win, they gon' lose.

[As the fireworks blaze in smoke, golden color, and glory, angel 'Syko' Martinez steps through it all as the violins announce his arrival, raising his arms up in triumph to a huge crowd pop]

We don't quit, we don't lose

Block fools, we don't move, if we don't choose

We ain't gotta say that it's big boy

we come through and make big noise

Even when it's quiet, homie.

Mess around start a riot, homie

Hit the booth like there's fire on me

They know I'm the truth

No need sic'n a liar on me

Now what kind of men are we,

I'm a gangsta comparin' off the sound of Miri Ben-Ari

Just listen to the violin strings,

in the mind of mad man you can hear how triumph ring

It's the king of the slum and the violin king

[Angel makes his way to the ring slowly, after working both sides of the stage and pounding his chest. seemingly talking to the fans and drawing some anger from a few of them on the way down the aisle... He laughs and slaps hands with some of his fans, wearing his trademark airbrushed painter' overalls and pointing to his fellow Latinos in the crowd. Allowing the fans to cheer him, Syko crosses the ring to touch knuckles with his fans on the other side of the aisle. Heading down the carpet as his music blares over the PA System, Syko reaches the ring and raises his arms to the crowd]

[Syko gets to the ring, hopping up onto the apron effortlessly....

Mouthing off to some of his ringside detractors, pointing them out before leaning back against the ropes, laughing to himself, turning to ready himself.]

Opportunity knock, open the door

Open your ears, you hear destiny call

I make music, let the rest of you ball

If you wanna touch a soul, I'm the kid you need to see

I got the recipe, y'all

It's G-H-O-S-T, Miri Ben-Ari

Feel the groove

Go against me, you lose

No doubt, we gon' win

YOu hear the violin blow,

and me flow,

know the show gon' end

[Angel times his signature springboard backflip ring entrance for the end of the verse and his landing to be about the same time, triggering fire-style pyro in the corners, the smoke and heat blazing once again nearly to blind the fans. ]

The audience has to turn their heads as the smoke clears seeing Syko kneeling in the center of the ring, running his mouth before pointing to the heavens above. Syko gives respect to the past and rises to let everyone know who the future of this business is, with Steve Stone announcing his arrival as the outro runs it's course, the violins winding down....]

Signature Maneuvers:

        • Syko-Can-Rana/Top Rope Syko-Can-Rana

        • The Screwjob: A 6-star Corkscrew Frogsplash done from the top rope

        • The O.D.: A move that starts out like a Mexican Surfboard, but instead of holding, drops the opponent's knees to the mat and locks in a Dragon Sleeper.

        • The Certified Bomb: A double (630 degree) moonsault with a twist

**All except the O.D. can lead to a pin. It's a submission, duh.

Finishing Maneuvers:

        • The Syko Spin: Frontside 810 Splash (and with ease too.)

        • Coast-2-Coast: Like a Van-Terminator, but instead of going along the ropes to the other turnbuckle, Syko clears the ring DIAGONALLY to nail his opponent.

Illegal Maneuvers:

                - Angel's training in Japan early in his career gave him the ability to use such techniques as spitting colored mist into the eyes of his opponents, and he has also learned over time how to throw the perfect fireball when the need arises. He does not use these tactics often, but he is certainly not above using them when it comes up.
