History (feds he's competed in, former titles he has held, etc):
Spade used to be very tight lipped about his history, preferring only to voice details when necessary.  Recent events have finally lead to him opening up a bit about his personal and professional past.  Mostly because AJ Black begged him to open up about his history and showing a little spite, The Street Samurai did just that for Chris Hopper's SCWE, and once again for DERP.
An avid fan of oldschool Anime, Action movies, and Hong Kong classic cinema, Spade often emulated the movements in his favorite movies, even at the age of 10.  By 15, he knew more about martial arts than some men who have been doing it all their lives and without formal education.  The kids at school often called him Karate Kid and Samurai because of his obsession with everything Martial Arts.  The Samurai nickname, however, he kept.  He was also an avid fan of professional wrestling and idolized a certain Crow-style face painted wrestler whose name can't be mentioned here due to legal ramifications.
Upon graduating from highschool, he entered into a wrestling school and within less than a year, he mastered everything his teacher had to teach him and was so impressed with both his athletic ability and natural skill that Spade found himself lined up with a promotion on the rise called SGWF.  He excelled in the promotion at first, but early on he suffered a knee injury that nearly shelved him.  Not only did he come back, however, he came back with his knees still recovering from surgery despite Doctor's orders.  During this time he was studying Kendo fencing and decided to incorporate that into a more hardcore approach in the ring.  Soon he wasn't just fencing with Kendo Sticks, he "fenced" with chairs, crutches, ball bats and just about anything else you could swing with two hands.  He discovered multiple ways to disarm an opponent and turn their weapon against them during matches.  He took many lumps, bruises, and risks to perfect his stylish take on Hardcore wrestling and it added another dimension to his already impressive skills in the ring.  It was at this time that "Street" was added to his Samurai nickname.  From that point forward, he was dubbed "The Street Samurai," Spade.
He would leave that company to sign on with NGPW for an offer of more money, which would become one of the first professional mistakes he ever made in his career, but not the last.  In SGWF, there wasn't much of a political scene but in NGPW, he found himself working a rather poisonous political environment that he was simply not prepared for, or willing to deal with.  After 6 of the longest months of his life, he left the company rather bitter and angry.  There were three other promotions that followed and his attitude had suffered from NGPW.  A dark cloud hung over him and during this period, he was cruel, heartless, and sadistic.  He started dying his hair blond and calling himself "Ronin" Spade as he no longer called the fans his Masters.  He went on a highly self destructive path that ended when he suffered a 123 MPH crash on a Motorcycle that took him out of professional wrestling for over an entire year.  Every single bone in his body had been broken when his bike hit a pot hole and he was thrown from his bike into a concrete wall with enough force that he left a crack in it.
The near death experience combined with the thought of never wrestling or being able to enjoy life as he knew it ever again humbled him and soon brought a zen-buddhist influence into his life.  After a little retraining at his old wrestling school he quickly returned to form when MCW hired him on.  While he didn't have any critical career success in this short lived promotion, Spade often looks back upon his time in MCW as the most fun he had ever had in a promotion.  It was a much needed boost to himself as the next three feds he entered would nearly send him back to that downward spiral yet again.
First was XWI, where he would have his first encounter with the man who would later become his tag team partner, Leon Corella.  Everything went great for the first few months and while they never professionally feuded, the two had many encounters off camera that sometimes devolved into brawls.  The management never took full advantage of the animousity they had for one another and bad management practices would bury the company at the very height of it's success.
A similar story occured in IXWA, ran by Neil Bonser.  Once again, at the very height of the company's success, IXWA was closed as Neil Bonser merged it with ICWF, which leads to the next bad decision in Spade's career path.  Most wrestlers would have snubbed Bonser's invitation to join ICWF after closing down a successful promotion like IXWA so carelessly.  Spade took him up on the offer and quickly found himself in another politically charged nightmare of a locker room.  He found himself at odds with many people in the locker room, one in particular being Spooky Doom.
It actually offended The Street Samurai to be in the same locker room with him.  Everything about Spooky actually grated on his nerves from his look to the man's constant need to be the center of attention.  Eventually, tensions got so high that ICWF's hand was forced and oddly enough they backed Spooky.  Spade walked out on the company and shortly thereafter, he disappeared for two years, leaving professional wrestling behind to pursue other avenues of interest for awhile.  He was burned out and needed a break.
In 2009 he returned, appearing in two companies NJWF and SOW.  Spade learned a great deal from both of these promotions, but found himself at great odds with the management in both promotions.  SOW in particular due to the long waits between shows.  When one show went an entire 2 months, Spade said "Enough's enough" and due to the owner's ability to work him like a charm with a silver tongue, Spade chose to make it very public and very official.
During his time in NJWF, however, he put on a rather solid match against Leon Corella who was then representing DCWL at the time for an interpromotional match up.  Leon, however, had been humbled by his trials and tribulations as a professional wrestler and while there was still animousity between the two, they found respect for one another in that match and when a group ran by a man Spade had been feuding with at the time interrupted the match, Corella chose to help him out, rather than join the assault and it was there that they discovered that they weren't half bad as a team.
Months later, Spade and Corella formed Ass Kick Nation under the banner of SPW and would dominate the Tag Team Division like few have before them.  Hands down, they were the best thing to ever happen to the SPW Tag Division, but an unfortunate series of events in private lead to their demise in SPW shortly after winning the Tag Team Championships.
Like many promotions Spade made the mistake of joining, SPW had it's own politics as well.  The thing was, AJ Black was at the center of that political system and as long as AKN played by the system's rules, they prospered.  On the outside, everything seemed to be business as usual in SPW, but behind closed doors, several things had occurred that can't be repeated here.  Suffice to say, a minor mistake in judgement was made and rather than choosing an easy fix and rolling with it like nothing happened, Black chose to screw a great asset over, essentially cutting his nose off to spite his face. So after an "attack" from Vile "Vince" Viper and "Da' Lynch Mob", followed by a direct promise from AJ while they were down and out backstage that they will never see a Title reign on his show ever again, AKN was through in SPW.
This lead to AKN finding a home in SCWE, thought it was only for a short time. Chris Hopper's management practices and passive-aggressive tendencies started burning Spade out quickly. Spade tolerated Hopper for a time until finally, after the promotion went on an extended hiatus, Hopper would demand everyone, out of the blue, to fire up on all cylinders like nothing happened with a very short schedule and nothing to go on.  AKN as well as several prominent members of Hopper's locker room had lost interest in the promotion and weren't given very much incentive to continue. So when the man went into a passive-aggressive rant, Spade and Corella would leave the promotion and for a time, the two disappeared for awhile to recharge.
It was a call from Ryan Delaney that would rose Spade from his self imposed retirement. Delaney asks if Spade would like to get even with an old friend, namely, Vile "Vince" Viper. There was no hestitation from the Samurai, he gladly took the offer and called up Leon. AKN got back together for one night only, to trash Triple V on national television.
Delaney didn't count on Viper's speed at lawyering up and was forced to have to try and deceive the crowd to protect Vince Viper's public image that was practically shattered in a brutal fashion by Corella and Spade. Jean-Pierre Celine, who is said to have both an uncanny resemblance and a somewhat convincing act as "The New Vince Viper," is known publicly as the man who really received the assault at the hands of Spade and Corella.
The fans know better and as Spade wrestles for DERP, he will take any and every opportunity to let them know that they are right.

Personality:
In the past, Spade has tried to be a professional and keep a cool and level head, but the screwjob in SPW still affects him. He's become a little bitter and cynical, but that hasn't stopped him from wanting to go out and  put smiles on the fan's faces.  Spade thrives on the crowd, the chants literally firing him up and making him want to do more in the ring.  He's also confrontational, preferring to address a problem the moment it happens, rather than wait to deal with it at a better time.  He doesn't lie, doesn't cheat, and most importantly, takes no shit off of anyone, whether they are a long time legend in the sport or a rookie.  In his eyes, everyone's an equal until proven otherwise.
On the same token, He has no respect or patience for braggarts, liars, cheaters, or any other kind of two-faced life form and isn't afraid to say so.

Face / Heel / Neutral:  Face with an Edge

Entrance Music:  "Walk on Water" by Ozzy Osbourne (2006 Version)

Ring Entrance (may include lyrics):

[The opening Chords of "Walk on Water" hit the house PA and the lights go dark.  Through the curtains emerges "The Street Samurai", Spade, decked out in full ring gear, his "Samurai Never Die" T-shirt, and an ornately detailed, hand-tooled black leather duster.  A big grin spreads across his face as he looks over the crowd who offer up a pleasent reaction.]

[As the opening lyrics sound out, he strolls down the ramp and quickly arrives at ringside.  Making his way to the ring steps, Spade ascends them and slips between the top and second rope.  Entering the ring Spade makes a mad dash for the furthest turnpost, hopping onto the second rope and propping a foot on the top turnbuckle pad.]

[Spade scans the crowd, his head nodding to the beat as that dangerous, trademarked grin of his grows even bigger.  He throws a three fingered salute in the air, then brings his hands together and cups them around his mouth.  Tilting his head back, The Samurai lets loose with the battle cry...]

Spade:  AAAAAWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo...

[He brings that other foot up onto the top rope, squats down and backflips into the ring.  He tucks and backrolls on impact, where he comes to a neat stop with his back against the opposing corner.  There he leans back, props his elbows on the top rope and simply waits...]

Type of Wrestler (high flyer, brawler, technician, etc):  Solid All-arounder with strong striking capability and an impressive ground game.  He's not afraid to go to the mat with any wrestler or fighter in the business.
